Lilian was a truly special person. She was a great friend to my Grandpa, especially during the most difficult times of his life. When my gran was poorly, Lilian was there, helping him, supporting him, and quietly making sure he was never alone. After my gran passed away, she continued to look out for him with such kindness and care, always checking that he was okay and making sure he had everything he needed.

My Grandpa spoke of Lillian and Arthur with great fondness and humour, always with a smile and a laugh, and it was clear how much their friendship meant to him. She didn’t just look after my Grandpa, she was there for me too. She kept in touch, took the time to let me know how he was doing, and shared how things were at his home. That meant more to me than I can ever put into words.

Lilian was a lovely, caring, and selfless person, the kind of friend everyone hopes to have. After Grandpa passed she continued to keep in touch and followed my journey as I had a family and children of my own. I will always be grateful for the love, support, and friendship she gave to my Grandpa and to me. She will be remembered with great fondness and appreciation, and her kindness will never be forgotten.
